Greenland Paddle by Joe O'Blenis

This Greenland paddle was the spare paddle of Joe O'Blenis during his record breaking paddle around Vancouver Island in 2010.

Joe O'Blenis completed the trip in 16 days, 12 hours and 14 minutes. That broke the old record of 17 days, 4 hours and 49 minutes that was held by American paddling legend Sean Morley.

James Manke, creator of Manke at the Wreckage, paddled to meet Joe just a few points before his finish line. Joe later invited James to join him on New Castle Island to celebrate his successful trip. This spare paddle was later gifted to James and inspired him to dig deeper into Greenland paddling.
