A Day Trip to Uvita: Hammocks, Waves, and Fresh Fruit

Today was one of those hot days that remind me why we have a pool. I hopped into the Samurai with my daughter and her friend, heading down to Uvita to run a few errands for the day. The drive itself is always an adventure, winding down the Magic Mountain with lush greenery all around then the ocean peeking through the palm trees as we made our way along the coastline. The ocean views here are stunning!

We lounged in our hammocks and took in the beauty of the crashing waves. Paige and her friend attempted to swim but quickly realized the rip current was far too strong. The waves, however, looked especially inviting today, reminding me that I need to bring my surf kayak next time.

On our way back, we stopped by a small fruit stand on the side of the road. We've been here a few times now—the prices are great, and the produce is always fresh! After stocking up, we headed back to Lagunas, into the jungle, and back to our home tucked far away.

Sometimes, it’s these simple days that make the best memories—a reminder to take a minute to breathe, slow down, soak it all in, and appreciate the beauty of even the smallest adventures.
